This abstract painting was a labor of love. I had been wanting to do something with earth tones and couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do.  And when I don’t know what I want ahead of time I often struggle in the execution of putting paint to canvas. I repainted this five times before getting it the way I wanted, so there is a real sense of accomplishment for me in calling this painting complete.
