Flicker

Yes, “Flicker” is an abstract painting, but it is very different than the normal art I produce. First, I used a different color pallet than normal, since I wanted to create something centered around the vibrant metallic purple that I found. Second, I had it in my mind that I wanted to flick paint onto the canvas using popsicle sticks. I literally dunked the end of a popsicle stick into some paint and then flicked it like a little kid. This made a colossal mess in my studio, but it was worth it.

Anyway, you’ll want to hang this painting someplace that needs a blast of color, it isn’t a shy piece or art. I would describe “Flicker” as bright, fun, energetic, and somewhat in your face.
