I had The Boob in my head for months if not a year before I painted it. I warned my wife ahead of time and I don’t think she had any clue what I had envisioned, so she wasn’t very enthusiastic about it. I completed the majority of this in 2 days, while my wife was out of the house, so I was able to surprise her with it when she got home. I love it! She loves it! It’s a little racy, it’s super-cool, and it’s a damned nice boob if I do say so myself.
I wanted to play with some metallic paints and I knew I wanted to highlight the areola in glitter, and I think the colors (and glitter!) work well together. The black is a deep glossy limo black and really contrasts the metallic colors.
This painting can be described as a little racy, classy, and awesome. Surprisingly, not everybody recognizes it as a boob. Appropriate for living rooms, bedrooms, gyms, etc. Consider turning it over and hanging it landscape when the grandparents come over and call it a weird mountain…
